Your Initial Chiropractic Visit
The initial chiropractic visit, before you start a treatment program, is the most extensive. You may feel apprehensive, but once you know what to expect and once you meet our caring staff, we know your worries will be alleviated. It is very normal to feel concerned about what you may expect during your first few visits. You may have tried other types of pain relief or treatment for your injuries and found that they were unsuccessful, did not provide lasting relief or, worst of all, may have made your symptoms worse. The initial visit, as with all our treatments, is non-invasive and aimed at developing a successful plan of action to manage your pain.
Consultation
In the initial consultation to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the team to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Examination
After your consultation, the team will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
X-Ray Studies
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Report of Findings
Once all of the necessary information is gathered and after reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, the team will discuss recommendations. We will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions. He will be able to determine if she feels you would benefit from chiropractic care and outline her suggested plan which include frequency, cost and whether your condition may need coordination with other medical providers.

Treatment
At the conclusion of this initial appointment, you can choose to experience your first treatment. Treatment will include spinal entrainments and occasionally Somatorespiratory Integration (SRI). SRI is a specific set of exercises that connect your body, mind and breath by moving you through the 12 Stage of Healing. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime.
